James Horner

Sony Music Entertainment wanted to build up engagement for the release of its album celebrating James Horner - widely considered one of the greatest composers of the 20th/21st century. The campaign harnessed album artwork and digital content to emulate the classical tone and style of Horner’s music. The creative features a vintage projector that plays his most iconic film scores on their original stage – the theatre.

The album design was inspired by the elegance and timelessness of James Horner's scores. He was old school. He invoked emotions with the bare minimum. I wanted his album to reignite the passion of the theatre, knowing that modern music and movies are now being experienced via Netflix, Hulu and other entertainment subscriptions.
